Uniform Counter

Hours of Operation: 8am-8pm
We have a full time tailor on staff for all uniform and personal alterations. All uniformed positions include complimentary dry cleaning.

Lifestyles Coordinator

Hours of Operation: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (Closed from 12pm-1pm)

Our Lifestyles Coordinator is here to organize trips and events, as well as provide you with information about the area. Several colleague only facilities, such as the Lifestyles room and Rockies gym are also provided by Activities. For more information and pictures of activities, events and gym facilities, please click on the Lifestyles tab.

Mail

Mail is received Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory holidays). All mail will be sorted by 3:30 pm daily. You can pick up your mail in the Colleague Services Centre. Your suite number and key will be assigned to you when you arrive.

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise handles all colleague mail in the following manner: Mail is picked up at the local Canada Post Office by Colleague Services. The mail is sorted by suite number and placed into the corresponding mailbox. Parcels or other special postage items are kept secured and must be signed for by the recipient at the uniform desk.
You will be advised of such packages by a note in your mailbox.
Should you wish to organize your own post office box or other alternate arrangements, please contact the Canada Post Depot at 403-522-3870.

Laundry

On site laundry facilities are coin-operated, $1.50 for the washers and $1 for the dryers. Machines are located in the Colleague Services Building, throughout residence in the parkade under Engler, the 2nd floor of Englehard, the basement of Victoria Manor, and the basement of Hector. Please ask for directions if you are unsure of the location. A change machine is located in the Colleague Services Building.

Guest Passes

If you have family or friends coming to visit please make sure you pick up a valid guest pass from the Activities/Housing office. Anyone staying on property past 11 pm must have a valid guest pass to ensure the safety of all our colleagues. There is no charge for the guest pass.

Smoking

The common areas in residence are NON-SMOKING. You may request a smoking room but we may not be able to accommodate all smoking requests, as the units are not all designated in that manner. If you live in a non-smoking unit or choose not to smoke in your unit, you may smoke outside any of the housing buildings. If you live in a smoking unit you can smoke freely within your unit. Please put your cigarettes in the bins provided, not on the carpet or the ground.

Telephones

For the security of our colleagues and under the Federal Privacy of Information Act, Human Resources, Colleague Services, and Royal Service will NOT give out your name under any circumstances.
Personal phone lines are also available in individual rooms. Colleague Services is not responsible for the installation of your phone line, nor do they provide telephones. To request a phone line call the regional TELUS office for installation (a deposit is required). 310-3100.

Recycling

We have made recycling in the colleague areas easy by allowing each tenant to place clean beverage bottles in the blue recycle bins located at each entrance. Coat hangers can be returned to the Colleague Services Centre for reuse. Cardboard can be placed in the green bin outside the Colleague Services building or by Building 3. Further recycling stations for beverage containers and paper can be found in the Hector basement, the parkade under Engler, the 2nd floor of Englehard, and the basement of Feuz.

Colleague Cafeteria ("The Bean")

Every Colleague receives one duty meal per day in The Bean. This facility is operated by the hotel for the convenience of its colleagues and is open on a daily basis as follows:
Breakfast 5:30am - 9:00am Lunch 10:00am - 2:00pm Dinner 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Vegetarian options are available at every meal.

The Friday Edition

Our colleague newsletter is published and distributed weekly. It includes upcoming events, hotel and staff activities, committee updates, service plus nominations, classified ads, local interest, heritage, health and safety, environmental news, benefits, and other relevant information. Your input is encouraged and welcomed.

Communication Boards

Communication Boards are located in each department, our staff cafeteria and throughout housing. They are used for things such as up coming staff events, regional activities, new policies or procedures, and committee updates.

Lifestyles Gym

Here to work out? Want to get in shape for the hiking or skiing season? The Lifestyles Gym is just for you and is a workout facility JUST FOR COLLEAGUES! Membership information can be obtained from Colleague Services.

Internet Room

We offer our colleagues Internet service at a minimal cost. These computers are located in an Internet Room within the Brewster building and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Stables Pub

As part of our Lifestyles facilities we operate on onsite staff pub exclusively for the use of our colleagues. Throughout the year our Lifestyles team is committed to putting on Pub theme nights, DJ’s, Jam sessions, Bingo nights and other events for colleagues.

Temple Pizza

Our colleague takeaway store will satisfy all your fast food cravings whilst living at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Handmade Pizza, Hamburgers, Salads and Sandwiches are available with free delivery to colleague accommodations.
